Heading from Newport/Cardiff towards Swansea

J40 off the M4 - first exit off the roundabout - follow the road around until you come to a t-junction (traffic lights) turn right, petrol station on the left - straight over at the next set of lights - on to flyover - first exit at roundabout - second right signed posted "Aberavon Beach" - follow this road straight on until you come to a mini roundabout with some new houses being/just built - then right, past the leisure centre (Aqua Dome) on your right - follow the road along the beach - past the chip shop on your left - eventually the road swings round to the right, take a left turn onto "Scarlet Avenue" and then on the left is an entrance to a small rough car park. stop the car, chuck all your kit over the seawall, and start kiting....

There are some restrictions on the area that you are allowed to fly in. These are on a sign in this car park. The lifeguards also prefer if you wear a helmet when doing any power/traction activity and preferably have insurance.

PLEASE STAY PAST THE END OF THE SEA WALL TOWARDS THE DUNES.
