ZIPPER : An original made by Dave Maddocks of Spirit of Air. Still great fun to fly. Classic kite. Bit of an ornament now.
RAPIER : The Rapier on the left is one of the originals from the first ever batch of rapiers built. The rapier on the right is the new revised 2004 version with a new sail layout. Both kites are very twitchy but great fun. Framed with a 4mm solid GRP frame, Ripstop nylon sail, 103cm wingspan.
SABRE : The kite on the left is the original design. I didn't choose the colour design. I only got the kite because it was a seconds due to a mark on the sail that is hardly visible. The middle kite is the second generation of the Sabre with a curved leading edge. The kite on the right is the new 2004 version which has a curvy leading edge and a 3D sail, Framed in 5mm GRP, Ripstop nylon sail, 142cm wingspan.
SCIMITAR : The kite on the left is a original scimitar. The kite on the right is the new 2004 version. The sail design on the new version is very attractive I think. This kite is a good all rounder. 5mm GRP frame, Ripstop nylon sail, 170cm wingspan. A great kite to start with.
IMPACT : The story behind me getting this kite will make me sound like a right horrible thing. I got it as a present for a friend who was interested in getting a kite. Before I was going to give it to him I thought that I would build it up and check it out to make sure all was in order with it. I liked the look of it so I left the kite in my bag and kept it for myself. Horrible I know but he did get a kite for his birthday. A Javelin. I think that has just given away who the kite was meant for (err hem John-Paul). The kite is a nice flyer. I would like to have seen one with a carbon frame then I think the kite would of been a big hit. It has a 5.5mm GRP frame, Ripstop nylon sail, 150cm wingspan.
SHOCKWAVE: Framed in 6mm carbon with an active bridle the Shockwave creates little pull on the lines and is very responsive and trickable. 175cm wingspan and a ripstop nylon sail.
JAVELIN : A really nice 6ft dual line sports kite. Fantastic value for money with this kite. eye catching sail design and great all round flight. If anyone comes to me asking for a good kite to start with and for not a lot of money...this is my recommendation. I say that from pure honesty, not that I work for Spirit of Air. 190cm wingspan. 6mm carbon frame.
KAOS : Back in it's day this was the tricks monster. I still love to fly it today. This kite has probably had more flying time put on it then all of my kites put together. I have truly spanked this kite, it has taken everything that I have thrown at it. Framed in 6mm Carbon, Ripstop sail, 228cm wingspan. I enjoyed this kite so much that I searched around and bought another.
AXLE : Old school kite. It lives up to it's name. It performs axle's all day long. 6mm carbon frame, Ripstop sail, 217cm wingspan.
VIBE : Wow.....very light on the lines and amazingly tricky thanks to it's VG bridle (variable geometry). The bridle was designed by ex-champ flyer Luke Brown. I tend to find that people either love this kite or cannot get on with it at all. 6mm carbon frame, Ripstop polyester & mylar sail, 228cm wingspan.
ENIGMA : This is a little tricks machine. Fast and radical. Dynamic bridle, Icarex PC31 polyester ripstop sail, 5.5mm carbon frame, 191cm wingspan. Custom sail colours.
OMEGA XS U/L : Very nice tracking and cornering from both of these kites. These are the Ultra Light version for zero or low wind. everything on the Ultra Light is built for lightweight.
OMEGA XS PRO COMP : A competition version of the Omega XS. 6mm Carbon Frame. Precision handling and a good positive pull. A very trickable kite.
OMEGA XS VENTED / MEGA VENT : Very nice tracking and cornering from both of these kites. The kite on the left is the standard vented version for high wind days. The Omega XS Mega Vent on the right is used for really high wind conditions. The mesh venting in the sail is to help wind out of the sail in higher winds. 210cm wingspan. Active Bridle. Both kites are stunning.
PARADOX: 6mm carbon frame. Tracks and tricks beautifully. Holds stable fades and great cascades. Mylar & Ripstop Polyester sail. Active Bridle. 228cm wingspan.
SHURKIEN OMEGA U/L & VENTED : Big wing kites. The Ultra Light is amazing to see in zero wind conditions as it is such a big kite. The vented is for big winds. Both kites are a custom sail colour. Both are ex team kites that were owned by ex-champ flyer Luke Brown. The daddy of the spirit of air range. Active Bridles & 252cm wingspan. That's just over 8ft.

The range of 4 line power kites from Spirit Of Air. These kites are like my babies. I did the testing and flying during the development process of these kites. Great beginner kites for the 4 line flyer. I use them regular with the buggy & board.
